The documentary film Futuro – A New Stance for Tomorrow (dir. Mika Taanila, 1998, 28 min) is part of the 37th Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, Germany. The film is streaming in a combined program entitled “Hamburg Positions 1: The City of Tomorrow” from 1 to 7 June 2021. Curator: Lars Freshe.

Three tape loops spin in reel-to-reel tape recorders. The piece is inspired by the idea of weekly housecleaning as mechanical music. These field recordings of an everyday chore have been reworked into a musical fantasy.
